Q: How did you meet Richard?
A: We met Dick and Barbara through Worcester Night Life Ballroom Dancing classes with Helene Hannam in 1998. We had a lot of laughs and groans throughout the dance lesson years as both Dick and Alan found it difficult to count to 3 for waltz but no issue counting to 4 for foxtrot. We also spent many a night going from one ballroom dance to another after becoming friends. From Maironis Park, SAC, Holden Hills, Serendipity and more we have many great memories and laughs. Also, Dick was our "dance secretary" since he had a PDA to keep track of where we were going at all times. The many meals at churches and scouts and then off to the dance are memories we will always cherish. The two of you had become our closet friends and were to be our maid of honor and best man if we ever decided what year on Halloween we were going to get married. Remember the Big Band nights, Point Breeze, the Elliot nights, the Senior Dance picture Viti had painted with us all in the picture. There were so many good people, good times, too many to talk about right now but be assured we will never forget any of them. They were the best memories of our lives. All the laughs, parties, weddings and events we attended. Dick meant a lot to both of us as well as our grandkids who considered you their aunt and uncle. He will be sorely missed for a long time to come. We only hope Barbara is able to find solace in these time and those ahead by knowing we will cherish and remember all these times and especially remember a kind-hearted, fun-loving Dick. We love you both.
