Scott Favreau, our nephew, was a terrific guy. His smile and charm cheered all who knew him. He could light up a room merely by entering the space. He will be tremendously missed by his family and friends, but we will take heart knowing that he is in heaven enjoying his parents, and other relatives and friends who have gone before him.

Scotty,
You had my heart in the 5th grade. You were my pop warner football crush and I was your biggest fan. My first kiss, my first love. I remember talking to you for hours on the phone about how much you missed your mom. You once told me I was your angel and now you are mine. When our paths crossed I cherished our conversations, your bright smile, and infectious laugh. How I wish we could turn back time. You will always and forever hold a special place in my heart. I hope you knew how deeply loved and needed you were by so many. Rest in peace my gentle soul, and may your spirit be free of the pain and suffering, love you so much.

I’ll always remember Scott as being a fantastic father, and a great friend to the me and the friends of the Favreau boys. River and Scout welcomed me into their friend group around sophomore year of high school and we all immediately bonded as great friends. In the winter of sophomore year, a group of about 7 or 8 friends ventured into the forest to create a fortress in the woods. Little did I know, This time I spent in the woods would become some of the fondest memories of my friends in high school. But my favorite part of the whole experience, was actually when Scott came to visit us.
I remember seeing Mr. Favreau walking through the brush, with little Mia strapped to his back, and a backpack of supplies. It was hardly ever like Scott was River Scout and Tanner’s dad to me, anytime he was around it really truly seemed like he was just another one of our friends.
I remember when he approached the fire he said
“What’s up Boys?! Look at this fort it’s coming along! I brought you guys some venison to cook over your fire.”
I had never done something like this before, so I thought it was so unbelievably cool. He then turned to me and said
“I shot this deer right here up on this ridge”
And in typical Scott fashion, proceed to tell me allllll about it (which was awesome)
As a group, we sat down after a hard days work and cooked up Scott’s Venison over the open fire with some butter and Garlic. I can distinctly remember that that venison was the best game meat I ever had, in fact, it was so good, we scooped out the broth with a spoon until there was nothing left.
This is probably my favorite memory of Scott, not only because of his generosity, but because I could feel how much he loved to be around his sons, and their friends. Scott loved to re-live his glory days of playing football, hunting, fishing and cooking, and he lived vicariously through his sons.
I’m gonna miss you Mr. Favreau, and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that. May you rest in peace ❤️

Q: What 3 words best describe Scott and why?
A: Scotty is one of the most loving, kind, and sentimental guys I know. I have known him and his family for over 40 years.. Scotty always asked about other people and showed a genuine interest in how others were doing. He never ended a conversation without a hug or an “I love you” . Always asking about my mom and dad and my family. His squinty eyes, cute smile and infectious laugh made my heart melt everytime I saw him.. He will never be forgotten and forever loved. Rest in peace, sweet boy. Watch over your boys and be their angel.

George and I are very sad to learn of Scott’s passing. He was such a fun loving person. We really enjoyed watching Pats games together and he really loved his music, he came to see our band several times and also had us playing in his backyard in Woodstock. Of course, while he was grilling. He really loved his family. I’m sure they now have gained quite an angel, but they have also gained the pain of living without him and for that we are so very sorry. May he rest peacefully.

I am shocked to hear of Scott's passing. I will relish the memories of our annual deer hunting trips to Northern Maine hunting camp and Scotts first trip up with us.
