Obituary of Scott Favreau

Scott Favreau, age 55, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 16, 2025. Scott was born
October 21, 1969 in Webster, MA.
He is the son of the late Ronald Favreau and the late Janice (Maciejewski) Favreau.
He is survived by his three sons: River, Scout, and Tanner. One sister: Cheryl Duval and
her husband Gregory of Dudley, MA and Two brothers: Gerald Favreau & his wife Katherine of
South Wakefield, RI and David Favreau & his long time significant other Heather of Sutton, MA.
His Aunt Constance Favreau of Dudley MA. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and
nephews. Many cousins and close family friends. His former wife & mother of his children, Julie
Zaczek Favreau and her parents who took Scott in as their own, Susan Zaczek and Michael
Zaczek and his wife, Marlene. As well as his current Girlfriend Julie Kunkel who brought light to
his life. Scott was a family man through and through, he loved his family with all of his heart. A
local boy, who spent his years growing up in the towns of Dudley and Charlton with many
friends.
Scott was an alum of Shepherd Hill Regional High School in Dudley, MA. He always said
"I am not book smart, but I am street smart". He grew up as a multi-sport athlete. He loved
football and loved spending his adult years watching his boys play his favorite past-time.
He spent a lifetime in the laborers union working as a supervisor, a job he loved. He was
a hard worker and spent many years under the companies Marios Brothers and B&M
Excavating.
Scott Leon Favreau was defined by his big heart, charismatic charm, and a smile that lit
up a room. He had a gift of filling a room with jokes and laughter, even if he was a few minutes
late. He had a talent of speaking your ear off and he never failed to leave before giving you a big
sweaty hug!
Scott loved being with his boys, brothers, and nephews; hunting, fishing, and spending
time in nature. He loved teaching his boys how to work with their hands, build forts, catch fish,
make maple syrup, and be proud of the things they created. He loved being a Dad and took
pride in being River, Scout, and Tanner's father.
Scott's home in Woodstock was a source of pride and joy for him; a home he built with
love and his family. He loved spending time entertaining and cooking for the people he loved the
most. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and his love of family.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 23 at St. Joseph Basilica, 53
Whitcomb St., Webster, MA Burial will be in St.Joseph Garden Of Peace, Webster MA
Calling hours will be Thursday, May 22 from 4-7 pm at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield
Avenue, Dudley, MA.
