Marion Chapdelaine, of South Dennis, Massachusetts, passed away on 8/28/25 at Cape Cod Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. She was 76. Marion was born in 1949 in Birmingham, England to James Bradley and Rose (Williams) Bradley. She earned a Nursing Diploma from East Birmingham School of Nursing in England and an RN from St. Vincent's School of Nursing, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Marion worked as a staff nurse at East Birmingham Hospital and as a district (visiting) nurse in England before moving to the United States in 1978. She continued working in nursing and health care in Massachusetts, including becoming the joint owner of an adult daycare. For the final 20 years of her career, she was the director of an Assisted Living unit in South Yarmouth. Marion was very proud that she worked her whole adult life and that she built a new life for herself after moving 3,000 miles and settling in a new country, eventually becoming a US citizen. Marion enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting, sewing, and reading English mystery novels. She loved the natural beauty of Cape Cod, especially walking on the beach and watching the ocean. She is survived by her devoted husband of more than 40 years, Paul Chapdelaine, her daughters Sarah Woakes of Cherry Hill NJ and Lori Chapdelaine of Ossipee NH, her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Jodie Chapdelaine of Worcester MA, and her beloved grandchildren Elizabeth, Amelia, and Logan Chapdelaine. Her brothers John, Jim and David Bradley still reside in the UK. She will be missed by many cherished friends. Calling hours will be for family only, and a private graveside service will be held at Corbin Cemetery in Dudley, MA.
