Demetrios Milios "Jimmy", 93, entered eternal life on September 23, 2025 in the arms of his beloved children. Demetrios was born in Northern Epirus, the son of Ioannis and Eugenia Milios. He was one of six children, a brother to Sophia, Aphrodite, George, Vasilios and Persephoni.
He is survived by his two children, Christos Milios of Webster, Celia Milios of Shrewsbury, his beloved grandson Haralambos and his wife Georgia, his great grandchildren Christos and Chrystallia, his brother Vasilios Milios, his sister Persephoni Sgouritsas, and many nieces, nephews, and nine godchildren.
Demetrios lived a simple life. His legacy is one of love, family, and his faith in God. He understood that family and god were the most important things in life and put them first. He was a great husband and a great father.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 year's Hariklia in 2020. They exemplified the American Dream. They moved here as immigrants in 1960, became American citizens and worked hard to become loving parents and homeowners. Together they lived a fulfilling loving and successful life.
Demetrios worked at American Optical in Southbridge and served his church as cantor for 65 years. He was a pillar of the church, he loved the church. He is renowned for "Jimmy's Ring Toss" which he ran at the annual festival at the church.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Webster, MA. Calling hours will held at the church at 35 Lake Parkway Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetary, Webster.
