Andrew's compassion, patience, empathy, and dedication to his students and community was unmatched. We could rest easy knowing Andrew was on a students' team. He will be missed by the Sutton community, staff and students alike. Happy dreams, Andrew.

I was privileged to have Andrew as an 8th grade student at Shepherd Hill. He was courteous, considerate, polite, and an "A" pupil. With people in his family like Jackie, Kathleen, Jim and Kathie, he certainly carried on the traditions of a great family. May I extend my deepest sympathies.

As a member of the Sutton High School concert band, my peers and I were grateful that Mr. Kosiba stepped up and conducted the band while our usual director, Mr. Falvo, was out on paternity leave. Mr. Kosiba was always one to put a smile on your face each morning. Lighting up a room full of sleepy high school kids at 7:30 in the morning was no easy feat, but his time spent with our concert band made our days brighter. Leaving a lasting impact on many of my peers, including me. While his time making music with the full concert band was cut short as Mr. Falvo returned from his leave, you definitely got a feel for the guy. It was inspiring how much Mr. Kosiba cared for what he did. Putting passion into his music and those he taught it to. I remember one time during advisory, he sat in on one of our "Band Council" meetings, a group of roughly 10 kids. As the conversation gets rolling, Mr. Kosiba starts talking about what he does outside of the Sutton Schools scene. Mentioning a young boy, he had been teaching piano for years at the time. A boy who found hope and resilience through playing music. The way he described the successes they had together, and how proud he was of his student, brought tears to your eyes. With just one story, the impacts of people like Mr. Kosiba are apparent. Changing the lives of the students he worked with for the better through music and education.
I was devastated to hear about the loss of such a kind soul and a valued member of my own community, and so many lives. He will be greatly missed by all he taught and all who knew him. I wish his family and friends my heartfelt condolences.

I knew Mr. Kosiba ever since he started working at SPS. He was always very kind and willing to help in any way possible. He supported me education wise while I was going through medical matters, and it warmed my heart the way he worked with the concert band. I hope he is rocking it in the afterlife, and all my best wishes go to those who knew him.

I've been a student with Mr. Kosiba at SHS for years now. He stepped up when the concert band needed him, and he added so much to the jazz and pep bands as a director. Mr. Kosiba made the world a kinder and more beautiful place. We will all miss him dearly.
