Obituary of Janet Caouette

Janet E. (Rusack) Caouette, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on December 5, 1942, in Massachusetts, she was predeceased by her parents, siblings, and her cherished great-granddaughter, Brianna Garrity. Her loving memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 64 years, George A. Caouette, of Wildwood, FL, her sister-in-law Elaine (Caouette) Casaubon, and her husband Tom, and her children: Norman Caouette and his ex-wife, Christine (Caouette) Davidson; Brian Caouette; Karen David; and Gary Caouette. Janet's legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Jennifer (Caouette) Kokoszka and her husband, Eric; Daniel Caouette; Noah and Alexis Caouette; Jodi and Eric David; Nicholas Caouette and his wife, Rebecca; Bethany (Caouette) Collazo and her husband, Jonathan; Christopher, Cataleyah, and Katriana Caouette. She leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will hold her memory close. Janet's life was a testament to her faith and service to others. A devoted parishioner at Sacred Heart Parish, she was an active member of the Daughters of Isabella, Saint Vincent De Paul, The Ladies of St. Anne, and The Circle of Charity—fondly referred to by Janet as The Circle of Chicken. Her involvement in these organizations reflected her generous spirit, as she tirelessly worked to uplift and support those around her. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, 9:00-10:30 at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Ave, Dudley, MA. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street, followed by burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
