Obituary of Shirley P. Ballard

Shirley (Wilson) Ballard died peacefully on February 6 at Webster Manor Nursing Home at the age of 91. She was born in Webster on May 13, 1924 to W. Edwin Wilson and Grace Downey Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Anderson Bayer of Brunswick, ME and Barbara Dodge of Webster, MA. She leaves several nieces and nephews who were her joy over the years. Shirley graduated from Bartlett High School and coordinated several of the class reunions. She also lived in Dudley, MA and Thompson, CT. She was an active member of the Dudley Grange for many years. Her last employment was with the PATRIOT Newspaper in Webster, where she worked part time in her early eighties. Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel 33 Schofield Ave. Dudley is in charge of the arrangements. There will be no visitation, and Services will be private. The family thanks Webster Manor for their care of Shirley over the past several years.
