Webster-Kenneth M Nachajko, age 76 died Sunday, March 6, 2016 peacefully at home with his caregivers Karen and Keli at his side. Kenneth was born in Webster, MA. He is the son of the late Chester and the late Elizabeth (Lemanski) Nachajko. He is survived by ; one brother: Ronald Nachajko of Putnam, CT . Two sisters: Elizabeth Recko of North Grosvenordale, CT and Nancy Pershula of North Grosvenordale, CT .His niece and god child Karen Grzyb of Webster with whom he made his home . His great niece and care giver Keli Farrand . Several nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his sister, Sandra Anthony and sister Gail Phaneuf. Ken joined the Air force at 17 and served 8 years obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He then continued his service to his country with 8 years in the Peace Corps. He spent 44 years on the Island of Carriacou not only as a teacher but he became "Mr. Fix it" helping others to learn his trade in electronics and his skills as a woodworker . Ken would build everything from swing sets to picnic tables for the folks on the island. He retired from Bishops College as a Professor in 2005. He returned to his native Webster two years ago to live with his god daughter Karen and her family A graveside service with Military Honors provided by the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will be held on Tuesday April 5 ,2016 at 11 AM at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Worcester Rd, Webster Ma.01570, MA Bartel Funeral Home and Chapel 33 Schofield Avenue Dudley ,Ma is directing arrangements.www.bartelfuneralhome.com .
