Obituary of Gayle Frowein

Gayle Frowein, age 52, of Southbridge, MA, died Friday, February 21, 2025 at Brookside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Webster, MA due to complications of a long term illness. Gayle was born April 17, 1972 in Fayetteville, NC. She is the daughter of William Frowein and the late Suzanne (Donais) Frowein.
She is survived by one son, Jonathan Sarro and his partner, Amber of Southbridge, MA ; two sisters: Wendy Ceppetelli and her fiancé, Mark along with her children, Kaylee Sue and Anthony of Dudley, MA; Mandy Gordon and her husband, Matthew, along with their children, Robert and Jocelynn, as well as a great nephew, Maverick, of Webster, MA ; a brother, Shane Frowein and his wife, Caitlyn, and their two sons, of West Boylston, MA. She also leaves an aunt, Rachel Piette, who she lived with on and off throughout her life, and her husband James of Webster, MA and their 3 daughters, Sarah, Jamie, and Molly. She also leaves several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gayle leaves her partner Sean Nolan and her very good friend Pete Nolan of Southbridge, MA.
Gayle is predeceased by her mother, Suzanne Frowein, and an uncle, Kenneth Donais; as well as her maternal grandparents, Rudy and Priscillia Donais, who raised her for many years.
Gayle graduated from St. Anne’s School in Webster, MA and attended Marianapolis High School in Thompson, CT. She continued her education in the field of psychology included courses taken at Boston College. She worked at several local businesses in Webster and Dudley over the years. Gayle was very involved with the First United Methodist Church in Southbridge, MA, under the direction of Pastor Sabina Terrades as well as Tradewinds.
Gayle was an intelligent, creative, and big-hearted person who would help anyone in need. She enjoyed coming to family functions and seeing all of her extended family. She enjoyed reading novels, heavy metal music, crafting (specializing in dreamcatchers), painting, drawing, and various types of writing including several beautiful pieces of poetry. Gayle was a unique and free spirited person who lived her life on her own terms. She often said that giving birth to Jonathan was her greatest accomplishment. Gayle is deeply loved by many and will be missed forever.
A memorial service will be held on March 13, 2025 at 10:00 am with an hour of visitation with the family at 9:00 am at the United Church of Christ, 4 Church St. in Webster, MA with Rev. Sabina Terrades officiating. Burial will be in the Spring at the family plot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster.
