Obituary of Normand O. Allard

It is with sadness that I announce the passing of Normand O. Allard on December 23rd. 2024 in Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale Florida at the age of 78. He was the son of Omer P. and Helen A.{Fontaine} Allard. He was born in Southbridge ,Ma. October 12th. 1946.He was a graduate of Southbridge High School and New England School of Accounting in Worcester,Ma. he worked as an accountant for a small firm in Worcester for a few years and. had enough. He later was an upholterer at the former Ethan Allen Furniture Co. in Dudley Ma. a job he absolutely loved doing! Normand was a resident of Worcester for many years before relocating to Ft. Lauderdale Fl. he hated the cold and has lived there for the past twenty years. He was especially proud of his French Heritage and was fluent in the French language. He loved to bake in his spare time and made delicious cakes like chocolate stawberry cream cake and a mouth watering pineapple upside-down cake. Normand leaves his loving sister (Sandra Allard Oleksiak} of Thomson Ct. and his cherished niece Jennifer Oleksiak and her fiance Ernie Quattrocelli of Killingly Ct, his best friend partner Donald Demars of Worcester Ma. Normand was a loving, caring and thoughtful man, never forgetting to send birthday cards and holiday greetings to family and friends. A graveyard service will take place later this spring and will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bartel Funeral Home on Schofield Ave in Dudley, Ma. There are no calling hours.
