Quinebaug CT - Elaine C.(Rodio) Dancause, 71, of 8 Highland Dr., died Sunday, Jan. 13 after a struggle with cancer at her home surrounded by her loved ones . She leaves her husband of 53 years, Donald Dancause. Her children Dennis Dancause of Woodstock, Richard Dancause and his wife Sandra of Thompson. Linda Orlowski and her husband John of Thompson, and David Dancause of Putnam. Two sisters: Joan Mills and her husband Frank of Thompson, Ann Marie Mann and her husband Daniel of Quinebaug. one brother: Donald Rodio and his wife Wanda of N.Brookfield, sister-in-law, Marie Dancause of RI; , 8 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother, Richard Rodio and Infant Son, Ronald Dancause. She was born in Webster, MA, the daughter of the late John and Aurore (Forcier) Rodio. She lived 63 years in Webster and 7 years in Quinebaug . Mrs. Dancause worked as a Loan Officer and a branch manager at the Webster First Federal Credit Union retiring in 2001. A member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and the Parishes Ladies of St. Anne . A member of Sorority Beta Sigma P.H.I. . Elaine enjoyed camping ,sewing, golfing and her gardening. She battled her disease and was able to see her eight great grandchildren. Her funeral will be Wednesday Jan. 16 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, with a Mass at Noon in Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster. Burial after cremation will be private. Calling hours will be Tuesday Jan. 15 from 5 to 8 PM .
