Obituary of Dorothy M. Landry

Dudley - Dorothy M.(Culliton) Landry, 92, of 4 Central Ave., died peacfully Thursday, February 28 in Webster Manor, Webster, MA, after a long illness. Her husband of 51 years, Theodore Landry died in 1984. She leaves two daughters with whom she made her home Mary Duso and Janet Landry of Dudley. three sons: Theodore Landry of AZ, Charles Landry of Webster, MA, Daniel Landry and his wife Candi of Webster, MA one sister: Emma Martin of Millbury, MA , 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren Many; nieces and nephews, She was born in Warren, MA, the daughter of the late Pierce and the late Alice (Forand) Culliton. She graduated from Southbridge High School and lived most of her life in Webster and Dudley. She worked 22 years as a housekeeper in the private sector. Mrs. Landry was a member of St. Louis Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Dorothy was active in the forming of the Webster Senior Center and received a service award in 1998. Some 25 years ago she was instrumental with the help of Dr. Casaubon in extending the Elder Bus service to Webster and Dudley . A Memorial Mass for Dorothy will be celebrated Thursday, March 6 at 10:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St., Webster. Burial of her ashes will follow in St. George's cemetery on Paige Hill Rd in Southbridge. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis School Endowment Fund, C/O St. Louis Rectory, 15 Lake St., Webster, MA 01570. There are no calling hours .
