Webster - Rita ( Dery) Zurawka, 81, of 45 Elm St., died Saturday, March 22, 2008 in St.Vincent Hospital in Worcester .She leaves her husband of 57 years, E. Joseph Zurawka. one son: Paul Zurawka and his wife Nancy of Monson and a granddaughter, Mary Zurawka; Her sister and best friend Bibiane Miller of Webster. Many nieces and nephews. She was born in Dudley, the daughter of the late Dorilla and Blanche (Gouin) Dery. She lived all her life in Webster. Mrs. Zurawka was a member of St. Joseph Basilica, a devoted christian who loved helping family and friends . Rita could balance her religion and have a lot of fun with her life. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She helped her parents with the operations of the Webster-Dudley Country Club that proved to be a start with her 30 years as a golf manager at the Raceway Golf Course in Thompson CT. Rita was an avid sports fan and in her younger years enjoyed playing golf. Rita's memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 27 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Burial of her cremains will follow in Sacred Heart Of Jesus Cemetery Webster. There are no calling hours. Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel 33 Schofield Ave. Dudley is directing arrangements.
