DUDLEY - Sigmund J. "Ziggy" Kozlowski, 75, of Dudley, MA, died peacefully Sunday, March 30, 2008 in St. Vincent's Hospital after an extended illness.
Ziggy was born in Dudley on April 16, 1932, son of the late Joseph A. and Magdalena M. (Broclawik) Kozlowski. He was predeceased by four brothers, Chester, Edward, Louis and Sebastian, and one sister Loretta Arpin. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Ziggy worked many years at American Optical in Southbridge until his disability forced his retirement. Although he was blind and deaf, he maintained his independence due to the help of family, friends and neighbors.
His funeral will be held Thursday, April 3rd from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel 33 schofield Ave. with a mass at 11 am in St, Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street, Dudley. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster. A Calling hour will be Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
