WEBSTER - Joanne P. Houle (Borowski) 67 of Webster died early Saturday, November 22. She was born in Webster, and was the daughter of Gladys and Joseph Borowski.
She leaves her beloved husband Lionel of 46 years; daughters, Lynn, Jane and Laurie and their husbands James Burns, Jr., William Bleakley and Michael Cady; six grandchildren, Shane and Trevor Burns, Martin and Cyrus Bleakley and Kendyl and Wynter Cady; sister Patricia Betley and late husband Joseph, twin brother Joseph Borowski and his wife Charlotte, brother David Borowski and his wife Nora; and also her special Guardian Angel on earth, sister-in-law, Norma Houle.
She was employed by Hubbard Regional Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician for 20 years and Shaw's supermarket for 10 years. Joanne was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's Basilica and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She was well known in the community for her delicious coffee cakes, whoopie pies and nut breads.
Joanne displayed amazing grace and dignity during her two year battle with cancer. She always sought to make her family and friends comfortable during her trying times, always putting others before herself. Her favorite times were spent with her family and friends and cherished moments with her beloved grandchildren. Joanne will be greatly missed and forever remembered for her tremendous courage and strength. She was a remarkable wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will always be in our hearts. We will always love you!
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday Nov. 26 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley. www.bartelfuneralhome.com
