Dudley - Thomas J. Monaco, Jr., 55, of 33 Dudley-Oxford Rd, died Tuesday, April 28 surrounded by his family at UMASS University Campus, Worcester after being stricken ill at home. He leaves his wife of 30 years, Deborah (Kilian) Monaco. two daughters: Lauren and Liza Monaco ,A granddaughter, Kadynce. His mother Roseanne (Mangan) Monaco all of Dudley. Two brothers: William Monaco of Dudley and Paul Monaco of Woodstock. Two sisters: Lisa wife of Steven Bodreau of Quinebaug and Darlene wife of Mario Marcucci of Southbridge. Tommy leaves 17 nieces and nephews Megan,Caitlyn,Jeffrey,Stephen,Kyle,Ben,Alyssa, Anthony,Elizabeth,Mario,Lorenzo,Sergio,Carisa,Guida,Michael,Jillian and Madison . He was born in Worcester; the son of the late Thomas J. Monaco Sr. He lived all his life in Dudley. He graduated from Bay Path H.S. and worked as a welder at Pratt-Whitney before retiring do to his battle with Scleroderma. He enjoyed 20 years as a member of the Dudley Fire Dept. and six years as reserve police officer for the Dudley Police Dept. He loved fishing and softball. Tommy played in leagues in Southbridge and Webster for many years. He was a member of the PAV and the Webster Lodge of Masons. Most of all Tom cherished and loved the countless hours he spent with his granddaughter Kadynce A funeral will be held FRIDAY MAY 1 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley with a Mass at 11AM in St. Stephens Church, Corner Of Route 197 & 131, Quinebaug Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 5 to 8 PM . In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephens Church, PO Box 222 Quinebaug, CT. 06260 or the Scleroderma Foundation 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105 Danvers, MA 01923
