Webster - Michael "Mike "Zalewski, 53, of 50 Bates Point Rd., died Monday, August 24 in UMASS Memorial Worcester after being stricken ill at his home
He leaves his wife of 30 years, Phyllis-Ann (Carmody) Zalewski. two sons: Brian Zalewski, Daniel Zalewski and one daughter: Audrey Zalewski all of Webster. Mike was a grandfather to granddaughter, Alysha Bugbee and grandson, Ethan Zalewski. Also leaves several aunts and uncles including Eddie and Irene Kokocinski . Two dear nieces, Dawn and Danielle and many cousins . Predeceased by a sister, Maryanne Cabral
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Frank and Regina (Kokocinski) Zalewski. He lived all his life in Webster . He graduated from Bartlett High School and received his bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Central New England Collage in Worcester. He worked 33 years for Kokocinski Plumbing & Heating as a Master Plumber. He was the Plumbing and Gas inspector for the town of Webster for many years .
Mr. Zalewski was a member of St. Joseph Basilica and enjoyed living on Webster Lake.
Mike held a private pilot license and was a aircraft enthusiast . He loved planes and owned a Cessna 172.
His funeral will be held Friday AUG. 28 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel 33 Schofield Ave. Dudley with a Mass at 9:30 am in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden Of Peace, Webster. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 5 to 8 PM .In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friends of St. Joseph School Fund c/o St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570
