Thompson - Edgar "Chipper" Racicot, 48, of 26 Quaddick Town Farm Rd, died Friday, October 2 with his family at his side at Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam following a long illness. He leaves his two loving daughters, Joie and Jessica both of Thompson, his loving parents , Edgar "Petou" and Carol (Dalimonte) Racicot, granddaughter Jordan, sisters Wendy, wife of Stanley Blackburn of Thompson, CT and Melissa, wife of Thomas King of Chaplin, CT. He also leaves his Aunt Susan, wife of Albert Horan of Webster, MA., Aunt Dale, wife of Henry Wilson, of Wilsonville, CT., Uncles Donald Raciciot of Webster, MA and Ernest LaPlante of Amarillo, TX. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and a special lifelong relationship with Lori (Dumas Racicot) Frongillo.
He was born in Webster, Ma and lived in Thompson the past 43 years. He graduated from Tourtellotte High School and attended Nichols College in Dudley. He was partners in Crystal Pump Company with his father in-law, Joseph Dumas of Thompson. He was a well driller, installed water systems and operated heavy equipment for many years. Chipper was an active supporter and member of the Thompson Little League. He enjoyed playing baseball, golfing, fishing and vacationing at the beach. His love was not only watching but also coaching his daughter's softball teams. Chipper LOVED the Red Sox and Patriots.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Louis Church, Webster, MA, on October 31, 2009, at 10AM. There are no calling hours . In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Thompson Little League, c/o Stanley Blackburn 16 Kingsbury Road, Thompson, CT 06277.
