Dudley - Lillian R. ( St.Marie) St. Germain, 82, of 58 New Boston Rd., died Tuesday, December 1 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. Her husband of 53 years, Roger St .Germain died in 1999.
She leaves one son: Roger St. Germain II of Dudley one daughter: Alice Toomey and her husband Stephen of Dudley. four sisters: Muriel Stelmach of Dudley, Lorraine Boutin of Dayville, CT, Geraldine St. Marie and Elaine St.Marie both of Dudley. Three brothers: William St.Marie , Raymond St.Marie both of Dudley and Leon St.Marie . Two grandsons David Toomey and James Toomey. Many nieces ,nephews and cousins. Predeceased by sister, Alice Nawrocki
She was born in Dudley, the daughter of the late William and the late Florence (St. Germain) St. Marie. She graduated from Bartlett High School and worked as a clerk at the former Grants Department Store Mrs. St. Germain was a life long communicant of Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church.
Lillian was the first Dispatcher/Clerk for the Town of Dudley Fire Department. She was the first President of the Dudley Firefighters Association and supported her husband Chief Roger St.Germain the first Fire Chief for the Town. Lillian was an avid gardener and enjoyed painting the wooden knick knacks that her husband made.
Her funeral will be held FRIDAY Dec. 4 at 10 AM from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley with a Mass at 11 AM in Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Calling hours will be TODAY from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home..Please omit flowers donations to a charity of ones choice. wwwbartelfuneralhome.com
