Dudley - Monica ( Filipski)Weaver, 92, formerly of Joshua Place, died Tuesday, June 1 ,2010 in Webster Manor. She leaves her one daughter: Mary Ann Marr and her companion James Rohr of Webster, one son: Harold Weaver Jr. and his wife Sally of North Kingston RI Two granddaughters Crystal Fleming and Tara Weaver; great granddaughter, Kiara Weaver. Several nieces and nephews. Her husband Harold Weaver Sr. died in 1966 . Predeceased by a sister Sadie and brothers John & Stanley. She was born in Dudley, MA, the daughter of the late Frank and the late Veronica (Dziczkowska) Filipski. She lived in Dudley most all her life growing up on Boys Club St. then to Joshua Place and moving to Webster Manor in 2004 She worked at Bentley and Bates Shoe and later as a Hair Dresser. She was a member of St.Andrew Bobola Church. She enjoyed bingo and watching TV and she had an extensive hat collection at the manor. Her family enjoyed many years living by the Boys & Girls Club and Monica volunteered there for many years. She loved her family and becoming a great- grandmother. Her funeral will be held Friday June 4 with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church 54 West Main St., Dudley. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden Of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, MA. In lieu of flowers donations to the Residents actives fund at Webster Manor 745 school St. Webster Ma. 01570 or Allegiance Hospice 415 Boston Turnpike Suite 303 Shrewsbury Ma. 01545 .
