Dudley - Bridie ( Walsh) Moynihan, 78, of 17 Hall Rd., died Monday June 5 in UMass Memorial HealthCare, Worcester. Her husband of 42 years, Walter Moynihan died in 1996
She leaves two sons:Dr. John J. Moynihan of Clarksville, MD and Walter Moynihan of Gastonia NC
Two sisters Mary Finn of Birmingham, England, Helen O'Connor of Kerry, Ireland
Two brothers: John Walsh of Feeding Hills and Tom Walsh of East Longmeadow.
A granddaughter, Bridget Theresa Moynihan; grandson, Russell P. Moynihan.
Predeceased by son, Peter D. Moynihan and daughter, Elizabeth A. Moynihan, brother, Michael Walsh.
She was born in County Kerry Ireland, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Kennedy) Walsh. She was educated in Ireland and came to the United States at age of 20. Bridie lived several years in N.H . and many years in Springfield before moving to Dudley in 1969 .
Mrs. Moynihan was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and was a Eucharistic Minister
for the parish visiting the home bound for13 year's. She was a Master Catechist for the religious education program and served on the bereavement committee for the parish .She was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed spending time in her yard.
Her funeral will be Friday June 9 from the Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel 33 Schofield Ave. Dudley. Her Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd., Dudley. Burial will follow in the St.Anthony Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday June 8 from 5 to 8 pm .Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Memorial fund PO box 277 Dudley Ma 01571
