Dudley - Irene B. ( Morrison) Zajac, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28 ,2010 after a long illness. Irene is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Henry "Butch" Zajac. one son: Michael Smith and his wife Arleen of Dudley Two grandchildren, Sabrina Smith and her Fiance Peter Gauvin of Dudley and Nicholas Smith and his wife Julie of Webster . Two sisters: Katherine LeBeouf and Barbara Kane both of Leicester, MA Many nieces and nephews She was born in Worcester, MA, the daughter of the late Ernest and Beatrice (Robidoux) Morrison Sr. Irene was a graduate of Leicester High School and St. Vincent School of Nursing in Worcester. A kind , caring, loving woman and dedicated geriatric nurse that brightened her patients lives , as well as her family. Known for her tasty home cooking and giving heart you never left hungry. She will be greatly missed by all. A very special thank you to the devoted staff of Lanessa Extended Care in Webster, for your many years of exemplary care . Irene's funeral will be held Wednesday Dec. 1st from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, with a Mass at 9:30 AM in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd., Dudley. Calling hours at the funeral home are on Tuesday Nov. 30th from 4 to 7 PM . In lieu of flowers donations Memorial contributions may be made to Lanessa Extended Care, 751 School St., Webster, MA 01570 www.bartelfuneralhome.com .
