Webster - Silver Poplawski , 86, formerly of Greystone Ave., died peacefully Thursday June 22,2006 in Webster Manor, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her husband of 61 years Edward Poplawski died this past february. She leaves One daughter: Judy Brumbaugh of Orlando, FLone son: Edward Andrew Poplawski of Webster and a grandson, Christopher Butt ,Step-grandson Daniel Brumbaugh both of Orlando, FL. Several nieces and nephews. She was born in London a daughter of Oliver and Florenda ( Minter) Butt . Silver was working the canteen bus in England during WWII when she met and later married Edward in December 23 , 1944 . After the war they moved to Worcester and then came to settle in Webster in 1947. She was a former member of St. Josephs polish women's club and Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and the circle of charity .In her retirement she enjoyed her home and her visits from her family in Florida . After cremation a graveside service will be held Wednesday June 28 ,2006 at 10:30 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park Paxton. Please omit flowers the family suggests donations in Silvers honor to the American Cancer Society 7 Oak St. Worcester Ma 01609.
