Webster - Dolores M. (Kujawski) David, 81, died peacefully surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Albert T. David, one daughter: Patrice A. Jaskiewicz and her husband Charles of Norwich, CT., 2 sons: Attorney Kevin M. David and his wife Lynda of Dudley, MA, James J. David and his wife Barbara of Mechanicsburg, PA and one brother: Francis E. Kujawski and his wife Betty of Thompson, CT. A grandson Ryan Cullan and his wife Wendy of Billerica, MA. Six granddaughters, Deirdra Cullan Guertin, Kayla David, Kelsey David, Joanna David, Racheal David, and Caroline David. Two step-grandchildren Heather and Nickolas Jaskiewicz and 4 great grandchildren Trent, Brooke, Celestyan and Brayden. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was born in Webster, MA, the daughter of the late Francis M. and the late Stacia (Stelmach) Kujawski. She graduated from Bartlett High School Class of 1947.After graduation, Dolly began work as a secretary for Barnaby Insurance Agency but later became legal assistant/secretary for Attorney Alfred S. Erlich in Webster for 43 years and retiring in 1996. Dolly enjoyed bowling in the early years being a member of a traveling team with the late Stacia Czernicki. Dolly also earned the distinction of having achieved the highest three string total (422) at the St Joseph's bowling alley in 1963. She took up golf subsequent to retiring and enjoyed playing in the Woodstock Women's League as well many years playing with family and friends both locally and at Cape Cod. Above all else family was the most important thing to Dolly and she loved spending time with Albert, family and close friends both locally and at her family cottage "Camp David " on Cape Cod or at the annual Stelmach family reunion. Many a day or night was spent cooking while there was some family project being completed, playing cards, golfing or charades with Dolly at the center with her ever present smile. Dolly was vibrant, energetic and strong women who always willing to sit down, talk, reminisce and share a good glass of wine. She was a Red Sox fan but an avid Patriots follower who will be deeply missed. She was a member of St. Joseph Basilica, St. Joseph's Parish Council, St Joseph Polish Women's Club, and Webster Democratic Town Committee, where she met President Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline and was active in his presidential campaign. Funeral services (Please go directly to the Basilica) will be held Saturday July 21, 2012 10:00 AM Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Calling hours will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM Friday July 20, 2012 at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley, Ma. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations to maybe made to The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, 315 Norwood Park South, 1st floor, Norwood Ma.02062 and the Webster EMS, 67 Thompson Road, Webster, MA. 01570
