� Earl A. Daviau, 79, of 66 Myrtle Avenue, Webster, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on September 23 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Dorothy H. (Spiewakowski) Daviau; one son, Richard Daviau, of Webster, one daughter, Debra Daviau Savoie, son-in-law Paul Savoie and one grandson, Brett Savoie, all of Union, CT; two brothers, Robert Daviau and Emile (Sonny) Daviau, of Webster and one sister, Eileen Foisy, of Webster, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Daviau. Born in Webster, Mr. Daviau was the son of Leo and Cecile Daviau and lived in Webster all his life. Mr. Daviau was employed in the textile industry and later in life worked at Park'n'Shop in Webster. Mr. Daviau was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Universal Fife and Drum Corps. He served the Webster Little League for over 15 years as a coach and league president, enjoying the enthusiasm of the kids and the companionship of his fellow volunteers. In recognition of his community service, he was honored with the Webster BPO Elks Citizen of the Year award in 1984 for his untiring efforts in the interests of the towns youths. He was a dear friend, a devoted husband, a loving father, and he especially cherished his grandson, Brett. His other passions in life were the Red Sox and Patriots, playing cribbage with his family, and music. His funeral with military honors will be held Wednesday Sept.27 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel 33 Schofield Ave. Dudley with a Mass at 1 PM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 16 East Main St.Webster.After cremation burial will be private. Calling hours are Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM.PLEASE OMIT flowers, donations can be made to the Webster Little League, 5 Little League Lane, or the VNA of Southern Worcester County, 534 School Street.
