Dudley - Opal J. (Ellis) MacDonald, 86, died Friday, March 27,2015 in Webster Manor, Webster.She went home to be with her lord and savior Jesus. She leaves three sisters: Phyllis and her husband John McKanas of Dudley, Laura and her husband James Lemar of Dexter, ME, Carolyn and her husband David Cowperwaite of Houlton, ME Former Husband, Robert MacDonald. Many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Goldie Young and Olive Ackerman,brothers Arnold Ellis and Carroll Ellis. She was born in Houlton, ME, the daughter of the late George Eben Ellis and the late Sadie Brewer. Opal was a waitress for many years at Elm Restaurant in Worcester and Cross Roads in West Boylston . She taught herself to play the guitar and the organ. Member of Tri- State Baptist Church and had many Christian friends. She enjoyed reading the Bible playing Christian music on her organ . She loved to crochet and made many beautiful things. Loved her cats and her precious kitty Heidi Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11 AM in Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden Of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM .Memorial contributions may be made to Tri-State Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 44, Thompson, CT 06277 or Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St, Watertown, 02472 .
