Obituary of Sylvia E. Konieczny

Dudley - Sylvia E. Konieczny, 72, of 58 Mason Rd., died November 8 after an illness in St.Vincent Hospital Worcester. Her husband of 27 years, Raymond Konieczny died in 1986. She leaves. three sons: David J.Konieczny of Dudley, Paul Konieczny and his wife Pattie of Dudley and Thomas Konieczny and his wife Kristen of Upton. A sister Joan Hanratty of Los Angeles , brother Francis J. and his wife Natalie Hanratty of Auburn, sister-in-law, Pearl Hanratty of Millbury. A loving grandmother to Sean,Kristie,Scott,Katie,Kevin and Kelli Predeceased by a brother, Chester Hanratty .She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Frank J. and the late Lillian (Cashman) Hanratty.She lived the past 42 years in Dudley . Mrs Konieczny worked as a Library Aide at Shepherd Hill Regional High School for 22 years before retiring. She was a supporter of the Boy Scouts of America beginning as a Den Mother and rising to serve as an Assistant District Commissioner on the Mohegan Council. Her funeral will be held Saturday Nov. 11 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Andrew Bobola, 54 West Main St. burial will follow in the St.Joseph Garden Of Peace, Webster. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday Nov. 10 from 5 to 8 PM . In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the Elevator fund at St. Andrew Bobola Church PO Box 98, Dudley Ma 01571.
