DUDLEY -Richard J. Giziowski,PHD 69, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Webster Manor of Webster, MA. after losing a battle with Alzheimer's.
He is survived by his friends Conrad Allen and his wife Paula Allen of Dudley. Predeceased by his sister, Joanne Baris.
Richard was born and raised in Worcester He is the son of the late John and the late Mary (Mia) Giziowski.. He received his BA from Worcester State University and went on to get his Masters from UCONN. Dr. Giziowski received his PHD from Illinois State university in 1991. Dr. Giziowski went on to serve the Auburn Public School System for 40 years before retiring .He was affectionately know as Dr. G or Mr. G . Richard published several books and was an expert on WWII . He owned hundreds of books and read well over a thousand in his life time. His passion for teaching and reading was his legacy.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday August 19,2016 at 10 AM in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd., Dudley. Entombment will be privately in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester .
