Ronald J Zmetra, age 70, of Dudley died Thursday, August 31, 2017
peacefully at home. Ronald was born February 14, 1947 in Worcester,
MA. He was the son of the late Joseph and Stasia (Grzyb) Zmetra. He is
survived by his wife of 44 years Patricia (Nalewajk) Zmetra, his son
Joseph Zmetra and his wife Tami, and two daughters; Lauren and her
husband Donald Fitzgerald, Francesca and her husband Gregory Ramirez.
He also has six grandchildren, Sydney, Logan, Landon, Brody, Bruno,
and Louisa.
Ron served proudly in the Vietnam War and was a decorated veteran. He
was a graduate of Nichols College in Dudley. Ron served on the
Advisory Board for the Town of Dudley and was the past-President of
the Webster Lions Club. He was an avid golfer. He loved music, and was
the organist for The Jaywalkers. Most of all, he loved spending time
with his family.
Ron was the owner of Zmetra Memorials Inc., helping families for
decades. He was also the owner/founder of Tents for Rent.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday,
September 5th at St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., Dudley,
MA. Burial will be at a later date.
Calling hours will be Monday, September 4th from 5 to 8 PM at Bartel
Funeral Home and chapel, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley, MA.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the Webster-Dudley
Veterans Council, Veterans Home, 4 Veterans Way, Webster, MA
