Obituary of Paula Alice Bernier

Paula Alice Bernier formerly of Dudley, MA passed away peacefully On May 11,2018 at Halcyon Hospice in Atlanta. Born and raised in Dudley, she relocated to be with her daughter in Georgia several years ago.
Born in 1931, she was a graduate of Bartlett High School and Becker Junior College. She worked for many years at Bates Shoe Company followed by Commerce Bank where she rose to the position of Branch Manager. She was a very active participant at St Anthony of Padua Church. Most recently she was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody, GA.
Among her many great gifts was her love of family, friends and animals. Her great joy was being there for anyone that needed a helping hand.
She was predeceased by parents, Alice (Dion) Lachance and Leo Lachance, husband John Bernier and sister Priscilla Sprague.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle Austin and husband William of Dunwoody, GA, best friend Barbara Heider of Webster, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and her beloved cat Annie.
Many thanks to the staff at Phoenix Senior Living and Halcyon Hospice for the wonderful care she received.
Calling hours are Sunday June 3rd from 2-5 pm at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel 33 Schofield Avenue Dudley . Her Memorial Mass will be held Monday June 4 at 10 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church 24 Dudley Hill Rd, Dudley Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery Webster .
Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association. Alz.org
