Obituary of Nicholas J Carter

Nicholas J. Carter, 32, of Miami Beach, FL., died unexpectedly on June 4, 2018. Nicholas was born October 27, 1985 in New London, Ct. He is survived by his father John A. Carter and mother Linda J. (Krasowsky) Carter of Dudley, MA., best friend Carly Carbone of Miami, many uncles, aunts, and cousins, so many friends in Dudley and Miami. Nick grew up in Griswold, Ct. and moved to Dudley in 2001. He graduated in 2003 from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in 2003. He was a member of the varsity football team. He attended Boston University and graduated from Nichols College in 2007 with a BS Economics and Business Administration. He relocated to Miami Beach and worked in several areas of construction and furthered his studies at Florida University earning a BS in civil engineering. Nick also earned his contractors' license and was planning to start his own business. He was last employed at the National Hotel in Miami Beach. Nick loved water sports, snowboarding, skiing, physical fitness, playing golf and soccer with his friends, science, technology and tech gadgets, outer space, the ocean, animals, cooking and good food, family gatherings, and all sports. Nick was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was fascinated by language and spoke Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Nick was adventurous. He traveled to Mexico, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, Columbia and numerous islands off the coast of Florida, some for his work, some for pleasure. Nick loved to learn and always looked for opportunities to learn about himself and the world. He enjoyed talking about business, politics, spirituality, and personal goals. Nick was a great friend and was loved by so many. His friendly smile and charming personality, will be remembered, loved and sorely missed by all that knew him. Calling hours will be 11:30 - 1:30 on Sunday, July 1, followed by a short prayer service in Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the MSPCA or Cat Connection in Nick's name.
