Obituary of Jeannette L. Gelineau

Jeannette L. Gelineau, 84, of Dudley died Friday, December 7, 2018 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, MA. Jeannette was born September 3, 1934 in Dudley, one of 12 children of Wilfred and Annette (Bousquet) McDonald. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Armand E. Gelineau. She is survived by two daughters: Lynn Gelineau of Dudley, Gail Bazinet and her husband David of Vero Beach, FL and one son: Brian Gelineau and his wife, Kelly of Dudley, and daughter in law, Tina Gelineau of Oxford. She is survived by two sisters: Noella Farraday of Dudley and Connie Wagner of Webster and four brothers: Norman McDonald of Sedona, AZ, Richard McDonald of Charlton George McDonald of Sturbridge, MA, Roger McDonald of Sturbridge, 8 grandchildren Nathan, Nicholas and Allison Bazinet, Megan Andrzejewski, Matthew and Marialaina Gelineau, Brady and Cooper Gelineau. She also is survived by 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jeannette was predeceased by her son, David A. Gelineau and by 4 brothers and 1 sister. She worked at A.O. in Southbridge for 25 years and retired from Stevens Linen in 1993. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She loved playing cards and yahtzee, attending her grandchildren's' sporting and musical events and playing board games with family. Jeannette was blessed with a large circle of many close friends and went on special trips with them. She was an avid reader. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 10:00 AM from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Avenue with A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd., Dudley. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Of Padua Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours at the funeral home are on Monday, December 10 from 4 to 7 PM .
