Obituary of Eva M Gasiciel

Eva M. Gasiciel, 96, of Webster, the Ceppetelli family matriarch, died Friday, October 29, 2021 at Overlook Masonic Health Care in Charlton, with her daughter Cheryl by her side. Eva was born November 10, 1924 in Webster. She is the daughter of the late Guerino and Clara Ceppetelli.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl. wife of the late Robert Kozub, three grandchildren, Bradley and his wife Kathryn of Grafton, Derek and his wife Erin of Solon, Ohio and Jillian and her fiancé Michael Kane of Bellingham; great grandchildren, Shannon, Garrett, William, Emily and soon to arrive Kelly Marie, her godchildren Patricia Bourque and David DeNardis, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1980, daughter Christine in 2000 and six brothers, Wilfred, Louis, Arthur, Henry, Joseph and Eugene, and three sisters, Theresa, Ann and Angeline.
Eva was employed by Cranston Print Works for 45 years as a textile sampler/inspector in the Put Up Department, retiring in 1993. Eva named the Cranston newsletter, “Cranston Comments.”
Mrs. Gasiciel was a communicant of St. Louis Church and lived in Webster most of her life before moving to the Overlook in Charlton 6 years ago. She treasured the time spent with her loving family and her Overlook friends. She loved to garden and enjoyed her visits to Foxwoods.
Thank you to the staff at Overlook for their kind and compassionate care, especially Rachel, Maddie, Michelle, Melissa and Gail. Thank you also to Micheline from TriValley Elder Services, who provided excellent home care to Eva prior to going to Overlook.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, November 4 at St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St., Webster. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Dudley. Calling hours will be Thursday, November 4 from 9 AM to 10 :30 AM at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley.
