Dawn Laurens Lindstrom, age 56, of Dudley, MA passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Dawn lived a fulfilling life as a mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend to many. Dawn was born January 6, 1965 in Putnam, CT, and spent the majority of her life in the Webster and Dudley area. She graduated from Bartlett High School and then attended Fisher Junior College in Boston, where she studied Fashion Merchandising and became a very successful account executive for Estée Lauder. Dawn and her husband owned and operated RCA Optical in Webster where Dawn worked for nearly 25 years. Dawn is survived by her loving husband Christopher, and her amazing children Ryan Dugan, Christopher and his fiancée Madison Snyder, Alec, Ingrid, Annaka and Eda. She also leaves her mother Geraldine (Wade) Grzyb and her husband David of Dudley, her father Robert Laurens and his wife Teresa of Woodstock, CT, a sister Robin Laurens and her fiancé Peter Lamarine of Southbridge, stepsisters Abigail Gonyea of Woodstock, CT, Teresita Taoubi of Glendale, NY, and Jennifer Bretton Lebel of Yarmouth, ME, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Everywhere that Dawn went she was surrounded by her family, friends, and beloved pets. She had a smile that could light up any room and had a unique way of making everyone feel special and loved in her presence. She was passionate about scrapbooking, baking, fashion, talk radio and sports. She was deeply guided by her Christian faith. However, the role she cherished most was being a mother. She was truly happiest when she was in the stands or on the sidelines cheering on her beloved children in all their endeavors. Dawn's spirit and love of life will continue to shine and endure through her children and all who knew and loved her. Calling hours will be held at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley, MA on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm; a Catholic Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 18 East Main Street, Webster, MA on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 am. The burial service will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to a fund in Dawn's memory " Mumma Dawn Fund " make checks payable to Raymond James account 196L3848 in the memo section .
