Obituary of Richard P Ravenelle

____________________________________________________________________________ Richard Paul Ravenelle, 75, of Dudley died peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born on November 22, 1946 in Southbridge, MA., the son of the late Gerard and Florence (Lamoureux) Ravenelle. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise (Guerin) Ravenelle , and three children: Dena Kobel and her husband Mark of Webster, Kerri Angelo of Putnam, CT, and Brian Ravenelle and his wife Lori-Ann of Webster. He also leaves his grandchildren Nicholas, Drew (Paige), Brady, Patrick, Alex, Hunter, Katie, Riley, and Emily, and his great-grandson Bretton, as well as many cousins, godchildren, nieces, and nephews. Richard was a 1964 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Southbridge, and attended St. Anselm's College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He worked most of his life in the retail automotive parts industry, and retired in a management position. After retirement, he worked part time as a courier for both Oxford Insurance and Hometown Bank, which he continued to do until recently. He was a longtime member of the Webster Lodge of Elks, where he was Exalted Ruler in 1976. Attending the many events that his children and grandchildren took part in, spending time with his close friends, and taking occasional trips to the casino were some of "Dickie's" favorite activities. His greatest moments, however, were those spent with his family, laughing and joking with them all. The memories of "Pepe" will lovingly be recalled by all whose lives he touched. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 19 at Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church, 18 East Main St. Webster . Calling hours will be held at the church prior to the Mass from 10:30 am to noon.
