Lawrence T Anderson, age 83, of Dudley died Monday, September 5, 2022 at Harrington Memorial Hospital of Southbridge, MA. Lawrence was born September 28, 1938 in Concord, MA. He is the son of the late Hilmer and the late Florence (Butler) Anderson. He married Rita Theresa Chapman his wife of 61 years. He is survived by his wife: Rita Theresa (Chapman) Anderson , one daughter: Cheryl Assaad of Brambleton, VA and two sons: Scott Anderson of Auburn, MA and Sean Anderson of NH, two sisters: Peggy Elkind of MA and Eileen Fitzgerald of Dudley, MA, and four brothers: Robert Anderson of Dudley, MA, Leonard Anderson of WI, Thomas Anderson of GA and Dennis Anderson of GA,; . 4 grandchildren Aisha Assaad,Ahmed Assaad,Asiah Assaad and Ayah Assaad predeceased by his infant daughter, Colleen Marie Anderson. and a brother and sister Lawrence served in the US Army. He was in textiles as a plant manager in the 60s and 70s at plants all over the United States and Puerto rico . He later had a garment factory Loving husband father and grandfather. His family was priority always and we are forever grateful. He had endless stories and snicker bars he couldn't resist if it was in the same room. He enjoyed crossword puzzles outside daily and watching his shows. He passed on his work ethic to his family as well as his generosity. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Aisha, I miss my grampy. I miss sitting on the porch with you for hours listening to your stories. I miss visiting you whenever I felt like it. You were one of the role models I needed growing up. I learned that a good work ethic leads you to live a quality lifestyle and I hope I will make you proud. Love you gramps. Rest easy. Ahmed, You are loved more than I can ever describe. I'm going to miss you so much. I remember the times we would sneak a snickers bar and keep it our secret. I still won't tell Grammy though, I promise. I love you so much, you will always be in my heart. Rest easy grampy Asiah, There's not enough words to describe how I'm feeling right now. I know it was your time to go but I'm going to miss you so much. You are everyone's light whenever anyones feeling down. You have had the best stories and you are such a wise man. I loved being around you and I am so grateful for your love and support. I am so lucky to be your granddaughter till the end of time. I will be thinking of you forever and you will be in my heart forever. I love you Grampy. Ayah, My grandpa was such a sweet soul. He was so supportive and proud of me no matter what the circumstances were. If I could speak to him one last time I would tell him I'm sorry I couldn't be there for your final moments. Im sorry I have not been as present as I wanted to be.You've made me realize how important it is to stay close to family because you can lose them at anytime. I was not expecting to lose you so soon, it is still a shock to me. I will miss you and keep you always in my heart and memories. We love you so much and I wish I can tell you that and hug you one last time. Goodbye and rest in paradise Grampy.
