Obituary of John "Jack" Kosiba Jr.

John "Jack" Kosiba, Jr., age 77, of Woodstock, CT died Sunday, March 26, 2023 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center -University Campus of Worcester, MA after an illness. John was born August 15, 1945 in Webster, MA. He is the son of the late John and the late Helen (Szewczyk) Kosiba Sr. Jack and Kathy were married on March 27, 1982, and would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. They were a true example of love and commitment. He leaves behind his beloved immediate family Kathleen (Peterson) Kosiba of Woodstock, CT and son Andrew J. Kosiba of Danielson, CT. Jack is also survived by his sister Kathie Faucher (husband Bernard) of North Grosvenordale, CT. As well as his brother James Kosiba (wife Mary), of Dudley, MA along with many close nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was a kind and generous man who touched the lives of so many people with his warm smile, and compassionate heart. He was employed by American Optical of Southbridge MA and Astrofoam, Holden MA. He was also the owner & proprietor of Joe's Market in West Brookfield, MA before retiring. He was also an avid sports fan who loved cheering on his favorite teams, especially the New York Yankees. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 12 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. 24 Dudley Hill Rd, Dudley MA. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge MA. Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 11 from 5 to 7 p.m at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley MA.
