Obituary of Kevin W Sullivan Esq.

It is with great sadness that the family of Kevin W. Sullivan Esq. announce his passing on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. He was a beloved son, husband, and grandfather who dedicated his life to the legal profession for over five decades. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Elinor, the love of his life; his bonus children Justin (Marilu) Deal, Jared Deal, Lissa Pratt; grandson Lucas Deal; sister-in-law Judy Sullivan; nephews Tim Sullivan, David (Donna) Sullivan; niece Wendy Sullivan; and great-nephews Jack and Dominic Sullivan. Kevin was predeceased by his parents and his brother David Sullivan Jr. Born on March 9, 1945, Kevin grew up with a love for the outdoors and a passion for sport, especially golf and horseback riding. After graduating from St. Michael's College, he pursued a law degree from Suffolk University, graduating with honors. Throughout his distinguished career in both private practice and as a public defender, Kevin worked tirelessly to defend his clients' rights and uphold the law. Despite his demanding profession, Kevin always made time for his family and his passions. He was a devoted husband to Elinor and a doting grandfather to Lucas. He loved spending time with him, teaching him how to ride horses and introducing him to the game of golf. Kevin was an accomplished golfer with numerous tournament wins and a club championship to his name. He spent countless hours on the golf course, perfecting his swing and enjoying the company of his friends. He also cherished his time spent at the barn mucking stalls, riding and training his horses: his buddy Corey and his sweet girl Honey. Kevin was a man of integrity, generosity, and kindness. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and was known for his compassion and empathy. His legacy will live on through his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched throughout his career and his life. Friends may visit Bartel Funeral Home on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 pm to pay their respects and share cherished memories.
