Richard Nolin, 78, of Webster died Friday, August 18, 2023 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home of Worcester, after a battle with cancer. Richard was born in Dudley, MA. He is the son of the late Valmore and the late Josephine (Wielock) Nolin. He is survived by his wife of 55 years next month Helen (Giakoumis) Nolin , one daughter: Pamela Shaw and her husband Scott of Woodstock, CT and two sons: Richard Nolin of Worcester, and Steven Nolin of Sturbridge, Three brothers: Robert Nolin of ME, Stanley Nolin of Spencer and Norman Nolin of Dudley, six grandchildren Otto Shaw, Cara Nolin, Carlie Walsh, William Nolin, Ryder Nolin and Ava Nolin . Several nieces and nephews Predeceased by his Sister Jane Sliwa and brothers Joseph and Eugene Nolin. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War as the golf pro at West Point. He was employed by Cranston Print Works as a Machinist for over 30 year's. He lived in Dudley and Webster all his life. Member of American Legion Post 184 , Avid golfer with 3 holes in one . He enjoyed time in Maine and Myrtle Beach.Rick loved cooking and played in several card leagues. Most of all he treasured time spent with family and his grandchildren A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 23 at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford, Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Webster. The Webster -Dudley Veterans Council will provide Military Honors . Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 22 from 5 to 8 PM at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, C/O Sacred Heart Rectory, 18 East Main St., Webster, MA 01570 or St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, P.O.
