Peter taught me how to fish. The first outing was up by the old train bridge on the back side of the Slatersville pond. The goal was to fish from where the train bridge was.
What I learned about cars that day. The Hillman automobile apparently only had one wheel drive in the rear. It got stuck in the loose sand. The more he spun the tire, the deeper it dug in. By hand we dug it out. Then we went to the back side of Brothers Pond on 102. There I caught my first fish. It was a large mouth bass. All of about 6 inches long. It was fascinating to hold a fish in my hands. We set it free.
I have enjoyed many fishing adventures since.
Thanks for the lessons Pete. I still fish the same way. Its always an adventures.

I am number 10 in line out of 11 and do not have childhood memories of growing up with my brother Peter. But as a child, I recall tagging along as he and some of my older brothers played in their band. To me, they were the greatest and even now as I think back watching them, I know they were all doing what they enjoyed. Spending time together and making music.

God is with open arms to receive your father. The pain is gone for him, but it is not for you. It will get easier as time goes by but you will never forget. This is something that I have learned very deeply in the last eight weeks of losing my beautiful grandson, I wish you much rest
