Obituary of Thomas C Yacuzzi

Thomas C. Yacuzzi, age 68, of Dudley died Saturday, May 25, 2024 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center - University Campus. Tom was born August 31, 1955 in Worcester, MA. He is the son of the late Thomas J. and the late Beverly (Ekberg) Yacuzzi. He is survived by his wife Linda (Card) Yacuzzi; one daughter Heidi (Peek) Hamby and her husband Billy of Apache Junction, AZ; one sister Mary, and her husband Dr. James Spiegel of Seattle, WA; daughter-in-law Emily (Peek) Lareau of Woodstock, CT; and his beloved grandchildren Clara Peek and Cody Peek. Additionally, he is survived by an extended family of nieces and nephews from Kent, CT area and Worcester, MA area. He will be missed by many but especially he will be missed by his church family and his horse riding family. He is predeceased by a brother Richard Yacuzzi and a son Sean Peek. Tom enjoyed horse back riding and caring for his dogs. He loved his Dudley church family. He regularly ushered, worked church suppers and the church Christmas Fair. Over his life he was actively involved with the Democratic Party. He loved to cook and was known for his spaghetti and meatballs. Tom graduated from St. John’s High School and Nichols College. As a young man he worked in real estate and insurance with his father. He was later employed as a Tax Examiner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Revenue. He retired from state service in 2015. Tom cared about people in life, and in his passing gave the gift of life through organ donation. A memorial service will be held 11 AM on Saturday, June 15 at First Congregational Church of Dudley, 135 Center Rd., Dudley, MA with Rev. John White officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Kent CT, Linda's hometown. Calling hours will be Saturday, June 15 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.
