Margaret A. Steeves, 89, formerly of Airport Rd, died Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Advinia Care of Northbridge. Margaret was born August 8, 1934 in New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Russell and the late Mary M. (Corney) Stevens. She is survived by her four daughters: Cheryl LaMothe and her husband Wayne of Uncasville, CT, Brenda Steeves of Southbridge , Alanna Duquette and her husband Rory of Charlton, and Wendy Scanlon and her husband Richard of Charlton. She also has 6 Grandchildren: Amy Richards, Carrie Dentch, Julie Meneguzzo, Scott Duquette, Nicole Quartulli, and Kathryn Vear . She cherished her 10 great grandchildren. she is survived by three sister-in-laws Myrna Stevens, Dorothy Steeves and Sharon Steeves. Cherished nieces, nephews and family in Canada Predeceased by husband of 68 years Wayne Steeves and daughter Debbie Steeves, brothers, Robert Stevens, and George Stevens and sister, Ruth Keswick. Margaret and Wayne lived many years in Dudley and enjoyed a yearly summer trip to Canada to visit with family and friends. Margaret was employed by Thom McAn as an office clerk and at Drake Petroleum in North Grosvenordale, Ct. She enjoyed knitting and most of all treasured time with her family. Visitation will be 11AM – 2PM with a brief service beginning at 1:30 on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation 3540 Crain Highway Ste 675, Bowie, MD 20716, the Multiple Sclerosis Society New England Chapter P.O.Box289 Canton, Ma 02021, or the charity of your choice.
