John "BOBO" Benkowski, age 93, of Webster died Saturday, January 11, 2025 at his home in Webster. John was born January 21, 1931 in Webster, MA. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Anna (Martinek) Benkowski. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara "Maxine" (Berry) Benkowski in 1991. He is survived by one daughter: Ramona Kelly and her Husband Richard of Webster, He also has two Grandsons , Rich Kelly and James Kelly both of Webster, Many Several nieces ,nephews and cousins. predeceased by his siblings Joseph, Edward, Stephen,Betty,Mary,Helen and Maggie He served in the Air force for 20 years retiring in May of 1968 at the rank of Master Sergeant John and Maxine owned and operated Maxine's antique store on West Main St. in Dudley from 1970 to 2010. They did antique shows up and down the east coast specializing in depression glass. John was featured in several stories on his knowledge of depression glass. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, January 17 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Worcester Rd, Webster Ma. with the Webster Dudley Veterans Honor Guard providing prayers and Military Honors. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Webster Ma. Bartel Funeral Home 33 schofield . .
