William L Lavoie, 74, of North Grosvenordale, CT died Saturday, August 7, 2021 at UMASS -University Campus of Worcester, MA. William was born May 30, 1947 in Southbridge, MA. He is the son of the late Lionel and the late Louise (Albetski) Lavoie. He is survived by one sister: Judith Niemiec and her husband Richard of Webster Nephews David Niemiec and Jeff Niemiec; niece, Rebecca Niemiec He was employed by as a Nuclear Stress Engineer designing nuclear power plants . William lived many years in Dudley before retiring to Palm Bay Florida . In Florida he worked par time for the US Post Office in Melbourne. He returned to area after the passing of his mom . William was an avid baseball card collector . He loved music played the guitar and in his younger years played in a band. Former member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Oxford. Bill grew up in Webster. Graduated from Bartlett high school in 1965. Graduated from Worcester Industrial Technical Institute and UMASS Lowell with honors. Wherever he lived he followed and loved the red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots. Calling hours will be Friday, August 13 from 4 to 6 PM at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley, MA.
