Remembering “Miss Carlson” fondly as my third grade teacher at Mary D. Stone School in Auburn, MA in the 1960’s. She was one of my all time favorite teachers. I recall an outing at her home for my class at the end of my third grade school year, and a special little tennis outfit my mom got me for the occasion. I have often thought about her in the ensuing years and wondered what became of her. It appears she lived a full and happy long life. And I’m glad.
My condolences to her family and close friends on the loss of this bright light in your lives.
Respectfully,
Linda

Elaine was truly a "community" person . She served on many committees in the Town of Dudley and gladly assisted with her knowledge and commitment to make a better community. She will be missed.

May I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Elaine on her unexpected passing while in Spain.
I did not know Elaine, nor do I know the family, but I just read Pastor John's words in his weekly PJ's Place and I felt compelled to send prayers. SIXTY YEARS a devoted fan of Days Of Our Lives?<br>WOW...That is merit badge worthy...Kindness evoking. The topic in this week's PJ's Place is PEACE.
In times like this, peace does not always come quick or easy, but just having the KNOWING helps a lot. I'd like to add the below quote, which to me, fits. It's from the writings of Khalil Gibran:
"WHEN YOU ARE SORROWFUL, LOOK AGAIN IN YOUR HEART, AND YOU SHALL SEE THAT, IN TRUTH, YOU ARE WEEPING FOR THAT WHICH HAS BEEN YOUR DELIGHT."

I don't have much to share, as I am part of the Spanish family, but the few times I met her I remember her as a vital, kind and cheerful person whose laughter and good humor were contagious. Together with her husband, David, they created a beautiful and wonderful family. God bless her soul.
